On Sunday, 11th December the village came together for a vintage theme Tea Party in the Village Hall to mark the centenary of the ending of World War One. Over 50 villagers attended the tea and many donated cakes. The youngsters turned their hand to making poppies and a total of £110 was raised for the Royal British Legion.
Later everyone moved over to the church where Canon John led the prayers. At 7.05 pm everyone lined the path from the street to the Church and rang hand bells, joining other churches and cathedrals across the country as part of the national initiative ‘Ringing for Peace’.
