2018 marks 100 years since the end of the First World War. To commemorate the centenary Churches and Cathedrals across the country have been invited to join in a national event at 7.05 pm on Sunday, 11th November; bells will be rung across the country and beacons lit.
As our Church does not have working bells it is hoped to use hand bells and any other instruments people would like to bring along. Do we have any trumpeters out there? Anyone interested in taking part please contact Julie on 01536 790165.
The Village Hall will be open from 5.30 pm with an end of war theme and offering light refreshments prior to going to the Church for 7 pm. It is hoped that children might make poppies to take up to the Church.
